Minneapolis (April 24, 2012) Precision micro component manufacturer Top Tool has named metal stamping veteran Mark Erickson president. Erickson previously was vice president and general manager of Minneapolis-based metalforming manufacturer Dayton Rogers. His 29-year metal stamping career also includes serving as COO and president of another metal stamping provider. Top Tool owners Al and Elizabeth Abraham said Erickson will start his position April 30.
“Mark’s proven leadership skills, broad management experience and deep metal stamping knowledge are powerful additions to the Top Tool focus on precision micro stamping solutions for medical device, defense and electronics manufacturers,” said CEO Elizabeth Abraham. “As a member of our advisory board since 2010, Mark understands Top Tool and has an aggressive vision for supporting customers with the specialized micro stamping solutions that our employees develop and deliver.”
Erickson started his career as a CPA and has an extensive background in community service and professional trade association leadership. He currently is a director on the board of Lakeview Bank in Lakeville, Minnesota. Previous community and professional positions include director and leadership positions with Ronald McDonald House, the Precision Metalforming Association, and the Precision Metalforming Education Foundation. Erickson also is a founding member and past chair of the Minnesota Manufacturers Coalition.
